Represent The Code
Last updated: May 10, 2026
By joining the Represent Athlete Program (the “Program”) operated by Represent The Code (“RTC”), you make the acknowledgments below. These acknowledgments are in addition to, and incorporated into, the RTC Terms of Service.
Name, Image, and Likeness (“NIL”) rules vary by state, by athletic association (e.g., NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, NFHS, USA Hockey, USA Track & Field, etc.), by conference, and by individual school. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with every NIL rule that applies to you, including any disclosure, registration, or pre-approval requirements. RTC does not provide NIL legal advice and does not verify your individual eligibility.
If your school, conference, or governing body requires you to disclose, register, or obtain approval for NIL activity, you agree to complete those steps before promoting your RTC athlete code or link. You will keep your compliance office's contact information current and respond promptly to any compliance inquiries about your participation in the Program.
You agree not to use any school, team, league, conference, or association name, logo, mascot, uniform, color scheme, or other protected intellectual property in connection with the Program unless you have a current, written license or written permission from the rights holder. You further agree not to imply that your school or team endorses, sponsors, or is affiliated with RTC.
You confirm that your participation in the Program does not violate any eligibility, amateurism, recruiting, or transfer-portal rules that apply to you. If you are a recruited prospective student-athlete, you understand that certain NIL activity may affect your eligibility and you take full responsibility for that risk.
If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these acknowledgments and the RTC Terms of Service and consents to your participation in the Program, including the receipt of any commissions, store credit, or product, and the public disclosure of your sponsored relationship with RTC.
You agree to clearly and conspicuously disclose your sponsored relationship with RTC whenever you promote RTC products, in line with the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. Part 255). Hashtags such as #ad, #sponsored, #partner, or #RTCathlete placed at the start of the post or caption are acceptable. You will not bury or obscure the disclosure.
You are an independent participant in the Program. You are not an employee, agent, partner, or joint venturer of RTC. You set your own schedule, choose your own channels, and are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and any business filings required where you live and compete.
Nothing on this page or anywhere else on the RTC platform constitutes legal advice. If you are uncertain about whether the Program is appropriate for you under your specific NIL rules, you should consult your school's compliance office and/or a qualified attorney before participating.
You may stop participating in the Program at any time by closing your account or by ceasing to share your code or link. RTC may also remove you from the Program if your continued participation creates a compliance risk for you, for RTC, or for other athletes.
